Subway Series 2

Again, these are some on-site drawings done while on the Long Island Rail Road. I am trying to improve my speed in rendering these scenarios, as they frequently change during the sketching process.

Subway Series

These images are compiled from drawings I have done during my daily commute to New York City. They are mostly of people on the Long Island Rail Road and the NYC subway system. I had to dig them out from various sketch books and loose sheets of paper but felt that they could be part of a series.

Ripple-Oil on Wood

This is a more abstract painting I did based on moving water. I was trying to find and interpret interesting patterns in a stream. I often walk in the woods or by any water and am always attracted to rivers, streams and creeks

Here is the my first image. It is an oil painting I did at a nature study area in Oceanside, NY. I did sketches on site and composed the final work in the studio.
